Quienes empezaron la fiesta fue la pareja conformada por Bubba Watson y Webb Simpson apabullando a Paul Lawrie y Peter Hanson. La batuta la llev\u00f3 Watson jugando primores, dejando los tiros a green muy cerca del hoyo y poteando muy bien. Ya en el hoyo 8 estaban resueltos aunque todo se cerr\u00f3 en el 14 con 5 puntos faltando 4 hoyos. USA 3 Europa 2.<\/p>\n

Luego vino el turno de Phil Mickelson y Keegan Bradley repitiendo su \u00e9xito de la ma\u00f1ana, esta vez le toc\u00f3 a los norirlandeses Rory Mcllroy y Graeme McDowell, quienes hicieron un esfuerzo de venir de atr\u00e1s, pero se quedaron cortos, ya que la ventaja que ten\u00eda los norteamericanos fue inalcanzable, al final todo qued\u00f3 en el hoyo 17 con 2 y 1. En el tercer match los protagonistas fueron Matt Kuchar y Dustin Johnson por los americanos y Justin Rose y Martin Kaymer por el viejo continente. Aunque estos arrancaron con uno de ventaja, Kuchar y Johnson ganaron 4 hoyos sin respuesta antes de llegar al hoyo 9. Todo termin\u00f3 en el hoyo 16 al tener 3 arriba faltando 2 hoyos. El \u00faltimo match tuvo el atractivo de Tiger Woods quien repet\u00eda con Steve Stricker y por segunda vez en el d\u00eda perd\u00eda su match. Sus rivales eran Lee Westwood y Nicolas Colsaerts, debutante de la Ryder, desde el principio este joven belga mostraba un juego brillante, embocando desde todas partes. El juego de ambos fue s\u00f3lido y aunque Tiger y Stricker lucharon a brazo partido, se quedaron cortos en el \u00faltimo hoyo, donde Tiger pudo empatar, pero su bola pas\u00f3 mordiendo el hoyo por el lado derecho y Colsaerts y Westwood se quedaron con el punto por un hoyo.
