El monaguense pudo acertar muchos tiros que se dej\u00f3 para birdies y emboc\u00f3, en la vuelta de ida Vegas meti\u00f3 4 de los pajaritos y en el regreso 4 m\u00e1s, aunque tuvo una pifia en el hoyo 16 (par 4) donde tuvo que colocar doble bogey, sin embargo se recuper\u00f3 en los dos hoyos finales con sendos birdies, en total el fuerte pegador suramericano golpe\u00f3 la bola en 66 ocasiones para empatar el sexto lugar con -6. Junto a \u00e9l qued\u00f3 el argentino Andr\u00e9s Romero quien a su vez hizo 5 birdies, un \u00e1guila y solo un bogey para empatar con Jhonny.
